Dogecoin sees whale accumulation amid declining network activity
Dogecoin is experiencing a divergence between large-scale investor activity and general network usage. Recent data shows significant whale accumulation, with large holders purchasing over 240 million DOGE in a single week, bringing total whale holdings to approximately 19 billion DOGE.
Despite this accumulation, network activity metrics have shown signs of decline. Active addresses have dropped from roughly 45,000 to 36,500, and daily transfers have decreased from 57,000 to approximately 47,300. This suggests that while major holders are increasing their positions, the broader user base is currently less active.
From a market perspective, DOGE is testing key resistance levels between $0.085 and $0.087. To reach a target of $0.15, the token would require an approximate 80% gain and must first reclaim resistance near $0.093–$0.095. On the downside, the $0.077–$0.084 range serves as a critical support zone; losing this area could weaken the current recovery setup.
