Dogs in Kansas lead police to injured owner

Two dogs in Leawood, Kansas, are being credited with saving their owner after the resident fell and became stranded on a garage floor for more than three hours.

According to the Leawood Police Department, an officer on patrol encountered a small dog in the roadway wearing a leash. The dog repeatedly barked at the officer to gain attention. After the officer followed the animal, it led him to a driveway where a second dog was waiting. The dogs guided the officer to an open garage, where they discovered the homeowner unable to get up.

The resident received medical treatment and is reportedly recovering safely at home. Bodycam footage of the encounter has circulated online, highlighting the actions of the small dog, Jax, who sought help, and the larger dog, Betty, who remained with the owner.
