Dogs Trust dog Twiglet seeks home after six years in care
Twiglet, an eight-year-old Rottweiler cross, has become the longest-staying dog at the Dogs Trust West Calder facility in Scotland, having been in care for over 2,400 days since 2019.
To assist with her adoption process, Twiglet recently participated in a staycation with her handler, Jason Pirrie. During the experience, she settled calmly into a home environment, managing common household triggers such as doorbells, mail delivery, and television noise. Pirrie noted that the dog showed significant progress in her ability to relax and embrace downtime.
Charity officials are seeking an adult-only home where Twiglet can be the sole pet. She is described as needing a secure outdoor space where she can roam freely.
