Doha Film Festival announces 2026 international competition lineup
The Doha Film Festival (DFF) has announced the 15-film lineup for the International Feature Film Competition of its second edition, scheduled to take place in Qatar from November 19 to 27, 2026.
The selection features significant works from the Arab world and beyond, including four Palestinian films. Notable entries include Hosam Abu Dan’s ‘Thirteen in Gaza’, a coming-of-age drama set in a displacement camp, and Muayad Alayan’s ‘Conversation with the Sea’. Other Palestinian contributions are Rabab Khamis’ documentary ‘Sama’, which will have its world premiere, and Mohanad Yaqubi’s ‘Revolutionaries Never Die’.
The competition also includes international titles such as ‘The Station’ by Yemeni-Scottish director Sara Ishaq, which serves as the opening film, and ‘House of the Wind’ from Cameroon. The announcement by the Doha Film Institute (DFI) signals confidence in the festival's ability to proceed despite regional instability.
