Dokuz Eylül University hosts defense industry meeting

Dokuz Eylül University (DEÜ) hosted the ‘Defense Industry Dokuz Eylül University Meeting’ to foster collaboration between academia and the defense sector. The event brought together leaders from the Presidency of Defence Industries, the Defence Industry Academy, and SSTEK to discuss the future of the industry, domestic technology development, investment opportunities, and strategic partnerships.

During the program, DEÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Bayram Yılmaz highlighted the university's significant potential in the defense sector. SSTEK General Manager Suat Baylan noted that the company has made approximately $65 million in investments and expressed interest in academic companies operating within technoparks as potential investment or subsidiary candidates.
