Dolby Laboratories and EVM Cinemas launch first Kerala Dolby Cinema

Dolby Laboratories and EVM Cinemas have announced the opening of the first Dolby Cinema auditorium in Kerala, located at EVM Cinemas in Fort Kochi. This facility represents the fifth Dolby Cinema screen established in India, marking an expansion of premium theatrical formats into regions outside of major metropolitan hubs.

The 450-seat auditorium integrates Dolby Vision, a dual-4K laser projection system, with Dolby Atmos, an object-based audio platform. To optimize the technical experience, the venue features a wall-to-wall and floor-to-ceiling screen, custom-angled seating, and specialized acoustic baffling designed to minimize light interference and audio reflections.

The launch aims to provide consistent audio calibration and sightlines across all seating tiers. The cinema is scheduled to open to the public ahead of several upcoming theatrical releases, with ticketing managed through BookMyShow.
