Dolce & Gabbana tribute installed at Montalbano Elicona's Castello Svevo

The fashion house Dolce & Gabbana is being honored with an installation titled “La Sicilia negli occhi” at the Castello Svevo Aragonese in the medieval village of Montalbano Elicona, Sicily. The exhibit, which combines large‑format photographs by Ferdinando Scianna, images of model Marpessa, and contributions from Oscar‑winning director Giuseppe Tornatore, runs daily until 30 August 2026 (open 9 am‑1 pm and 3 pm‑6 pm). It was conceived by Nicola Santamaria and Antonio Di Stefano, with Samuele Lazzaro handling organization and image work. The project is supported by the municipality of Montalbano Elicona, the Sicilian regional government, the Fondazione Architetti Mediterraneo, the A.C. Onlus Nebrodi Tour, and technical partners ZS Informatica and the Centro Studi Sicilia. Mayor Antonino Todaro said, “With this initiative our town intends to pay tribute to two protagonists of international fashion who have turned Sicily into a universal language of elegance, culture and identity.” The installation links the historic heritage of the castle with contemporary visual storytelling of the island.
