Dolly Parton dies at 80 in Nashville FAST-MOVING

Country music icon Dolly Parton has died at the age of 80. Her death was confirmed by her family in a video statement released by her nephew and longtime head of security, Bryan Seaver. Parton passed away peacefully at her home in Nashville, Tennessee.

Over a career spanning seven decades, Parton became a global superstar, composing more than 3,000 songs including hits such as ‘Jolene’, ‘9 to 5’, and ‘I Will Always Love You’. She earned 11 Grammy Awards and sold over 100 million records worldwide.

Beyond her music, Parton was a prominent philanthropist. Her Imagination Library initiative has distributed more than 300 million books to children globally. She also founded the Dollywood theme park in Tennessee.

Her passing follows a period of health challenges and personal loss, including the death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, in March 2025. The family has announced that a private service will be held for close relatives.
