Dolly Parton corn maze unveiled in Illinois as Chicago celebrates Tan Suit Day
All Seasons Orchard in Woodstock, Illinois, is unveiling a 6-acre corn maze designed in honor of country music superstar Dolly Parton following her recent passing at age 80. The attraction, which runs through November 1, features Parton’s likeness and includes an interactive trivia game and a life-size photo opportunity. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to local chapters of the Imagination Library to support the organization’s mission of providing free books to children.
In Chicago, the Obama Foundation hosted ‘Tan Suit Day’ at the John Lewis Plaza on the Obama Presidential Center campus. The event encouraged visitors to wear tan attire to commemorate the anniversary of former President Barack Obama’s 2014 news conference, which sparked significant political controversy regarding his choice of clothing. Attendees gathered to celebrate the former president’s influence and participate in the commemorative event.
