Dolly Parton: Jane Fonda and Jennifer Aniston pay tribute

Actors Jane Fonda and Jennifer Aniston have shared tributes following the death of country music icon Dolly Parton at age 80.

Jane Fonda recalled their long-standing friendship following their work together in ‘9 to 5’. Fonda described Parton as a person of immense love and intelligence who constantly sought to make others laugh. She shared an anecdote about a photo involving Fonda and Lily Tomlin where Parton requested the image be destroyed because she feared a cross-eyed expression might inadvertently mock a relative with a similar condition.

Jennifer Aniston also honored Parton during an appearance at the 92nd Street Y in New York. Aniston cited one of Parton’s many inspirational quotes, encouraging her audience to ‘chase your dreams and catch a few rainbows,’ noting that Parton had certainly done so. The two had been connected since the 2018 film ‘Dumplin’’, for which Parton provided the music.
