Dolly Parton recorded unreleased 15-song album inspired by Kentucky novel
Kentucky author Kim Michele Richardson has revealed that Dolly Parton recorded a previously unreleased 15-song album inspired by Richardson’s 2019 novel, 'The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek'.
Richardson stated that Parton provided the recordings to her without any strings attached. The novel, which is set in Kentucky and follows a packhorse librarian in Appalachia, served as the creative foundation for the project. Richardson is currently working on plans to eventually release the music to the public.
