Dolly Parton and Robert Plant to receive Americana Lifetime Achievement Awards
Dolly Parton and Robert Plant will both receive the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Americana Music Association at the 2026 Americana Honors & Awards. The ceremony is scheduled for September 16 at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville as part of AMERICANAFEST.
Due to ongoing health issues, Parton will accept her award virtually rather than attending in person. She has previously noted that she has been managing kidney stones, which required her to postpone certain performances while recovering. Despite her health challenges, she has expressed a desire to continue her career and has no intention of retiring.
The award recognizes the profound impact both artists have had on American roots music. Parton is being honored for a career spanning over six decades that encompasses country, folk, bluegrass, gospel, and pop. Plant is recognized for his legendary work with Led Zeppelin and his subsequent solo career and collaborations.
