Dolly Parton to receive posthumous Artist Humanitarian Award
Country Radio Broadcasters will posthumously present the Artist Humanitarian Award to Dolly Parton at the 2027 Country Radio Seminar in Nashville. Parton, who passed away on August 25 at age 80, was notified of the selection earlier this year.
Parton was recognized for her extensive philanthropic work, including wildfire relief in East Tennessee, medical research, and her Imagination Library, an international literacy program that provides free books to children from birth to age five.
RJ Curtis, executive director of CRS, stated that the word ‘humanitarian’ is ‘nearly synonymous’ with Parton, noting that her decades of generosity speak for themselves.
