Dolly Parton to release Welsh-language version of ‘Jolene’

A new version of the classic song ‘Jolene’ is set for release on October 9, featuring parts performed in Welsh by Dolly Parton. The recording is a collaboration between the legendary country artist, Welsh singer-songwriter Bronwen Lewis, and Parton’s niece, Jada Star.

The project originated after Lewis’s viral video of her singing ‘Jolene’ in Welsh caught the attention of Parton’s family. This led to a collaboration where Parton recorded vocals for the track, honoring her Welsh ancestry. The single marks the second posthumous release for the artist.
