Dolly Parton's role as 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' producer revealed

Following the death of country music superstar Dolly Parton at age 80, fans have rediscovered her uncredited role as a producer for the cult hit series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’.

Parton’s involvement was facilitated through Sandollar Productions, a company she co-founded with her former manager, Sandy Gallin, in 1985. Sandollar provided the backing for the original 1992 film and subsequently supported the television series that aired for seven seasons between 1997 and 2002, as well as its spinoff, ‘Angel’.

The revelation has trended on social media, with viewers expressing surprise at the connection between the music icon and the supernatural drama. Star Sarah Michelle Gellar also acknowledged the connection following the news of Parton's passing.
