Dolly Parton's sisters deny family feud rumors
Sisters of the late country music legend Dolly Parton have issued statements to deny rumors of a family feud following her death on August 25. Freida and Stella Parton both used social media to emphasize that the family remains united and is not fighting over the singer's estate.
The rumors follow a legal dispute involving Parton's nephew, Bryan Seaver, who served as the head of security for her properties. Seaver was dismissed from his role in September, shortly after Parton's passing. Additionally, Parton's longtime manager, Danny Nozell, filed a restraining order against Seaver, alleging attempted extortion and threats. Seaver has denied these allegations.
Stella Parton noted that the family is navigating a period of significant loss, having also lost their brother, Denver, less than a month before Dolly. A tribute to celebrate Dolly Parton's life is scheduled to be held one month after her death.
