Dolphin pod spotted near Ly Son Island

A pod of more than 10 dolphins was spotted swimming near Ly Son Island in Quang Ngai province on the morning of August 17. The sighting occurred approximately one nautical mile from the shore as the passenger vessel An Vinh Express 01 was traveling from Ben Dinh Port toward Sa Ky Port.

Local resident Phan Hau, who witnessed the event, noted that while groups of four to five dolphins are occasionally seen in the area, a pod of over 10 is a rare occurrence. Passengers on the vessel were able to observe the dolphins jumping and swimming near the surface.
