São Paulo driver kills two suspects after robbery pursuit
A driver in the Capão Redondo neighborhood of São Paulo killed two suspected robbers after they stole his belongings, including a cell phone and rings.
Security footage captured the initial robbery, where two men on a motorcycle approached the driver's parked vehicle and used a .38 caliber revolver to demand his possessions. After the suspects fled, the driver pursued them in his car. The chase ended when the driver struck the motorcycle, causing both suspects, identified as 18-year-old Eduardo Ferreira dos Santos and Nathan Santana da Silva, to be thrown against a wall and die at the scene.
Police recovered a firearm with a filed-off serial number and various stolen items from the site. Authorities are currently investigating whether the driver's actions constitute legitimate self-defense or if there was an excessive use of force.
