Domažlice shelter reports severe animal cruelty and criminal investigation

A six-year-old dog named Míša was found in a severely debilitated state at a shelter in Domažlice, Czech Republic. The animal suffered from an untreated fracture, intestinal damage, a hernia, and spinal issues.

Following the discovery, the association ‘Běhejme a pomáhejme útulkům’ filed a criminal complaint against the owner through the District State Prosecutor's Office in Domažlice. The association has raised allegations of sexual abuse involving the dog and other animals based on medical reports and neighbor testimonies. The police's economic crime department is currently investigating the matter.
