Domburg Beach, Netherlands, Reachable from Germany’s NRW in 3 Hours

The five‑kilometre sandy beach of Domburg lies on the Walcheren peninsula in the Dutch province of Zeeland. It can be reached by car from North Rhine‑Westphalia (NRW) in roughly three hours.

Visitors can choose among four sections – Badstraat, Noordduine, Hoge Hil and Westhove. Badstraat, next to the town centre, is the most popular. Noordduine offers a quieter setting amid dunes and green areas, while Westhove is close to the historic Westhove Castle. Lifeguards patrol the beach during the summer months, and facilities such as restaurants, toilets, beach huts and chair rentals are available.
