Domenica In returns with new cast and guest Laura Pausini

The Rai 1 variety program Domenica In has launched its new season, marked by significant cast changes and high-profile guests. Host Mara Venier welcomed singer Laura Pausini as the premiere guest, where Pausini discussed her career challenges, including thoughts of quitting during the pandemic and her reflections on the late Pippo Baudo.

The program also sees a major musical transition. Longtime maestro Stefano Magnanensi has departed the show after eight seasons to focus on his family following a difficult year. He is being replaced by singer Timothy Cavicchini, who will lead the show's new band, shifting the format from a solo piano maestro to a group-led musical setup.

New cast members Tommaso Cerno and Enzo Miccio join the production to refresh the program's communication style. The season debut aims to balance traditional variety elements with updated rhythms and new segments like 'Pranzo della Domenica'.
