Domenico Merlani re-elected President of Rieti-Viterbo Chamber of Commerce

Domenico Merlani has been unanimously re-elected as the President of the Rieti-Viterbo Chamber of Commerce. The decision, made by the newly formed Chamber Council, marks a continuation of his leadership since his initial election in 2014.

Merlani highlighted the successful integration of the Rieti and Viterbo territories following their merger in 2021. Looking toward his next five-year term, he emphasized goals such as increasing business competitiveness, boosting exports, and promoting regional tourism.

Confcommercio Lazio Nord expressed support for the re-election, noting that Merlani’s expertise provides stability for local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Key challenges for the upcoming term include addressing commercial desertification in historic centers, driving digital and ecological transitions, and supporting the local service and tourism sectors.
