Domenico Modugno Tribute Events Planned in Puglia, Italy

A tribute band called Meravigliosamente will stage a two‑hour concert titled “Meravigliosamente – Modugno Tribute Show” at the Levante Arena in Giovinazzo on 6 August. Fronted by singer Peppe Gaeta, the eight‑musician ensemble will perform a range of Modugno classics such as “Nel blu dipinto di blu” and “Meraviglioso” with contemporary arrangements.

From 4 to 7 September 2026, the town of Polignano a Mare will host the main event of the “Polignano a Mare Città della Musica” project, a festival dedicated to Modugno’s legacy. Organized with the Regione Puglia and Puglia Culture, the four‑day programme follows earlier concerts and aims to promote the region’s cultural identity through Italian authorial song. Mayor Vito Carrieri highlighted Modugno as the starting point for a lasting cultural initiative.

Both events are part of a broader effort to celebrate the late singer‑songwriter’s contribution to Italian music and to draw visitors to the Puglia region.
