Domestic violence incidents reported in Romania and Moldova

Authorities in Romania and Moldova have reported separate incidents involving domestic disputes during divorce proceedings.

In Târgu Jiu, Romania, police responded to a report from a 38-year-old woman from Scoarța commune who stated her husband had been repeatedly stalking her. Following a risk assessment, police issued a provisional protection order against the man and opened a criminal case for harassment.

In the Orhei district of Moldova, a woman reported finding her 30-year-old husband unconscious at their home. Preliminary information suggests the man may have shot himself. Police and operational teams have arrived at the scene to document the circumstances of the incident.
