Domingo Buesa Conde, a prominent historian, politician, and writer, has passed away at the age of 73. Born in Sabiñánigo in 1952, Buesa was a central figure in the study and preservation of Aragonese history and culture.

Buesa held a doctorate in History from the University of Zaragoza, with a thesis focused on urbanism and society in Zaragoza between 1868 and 1874. His professional career included serving as the director of the Technical Commission for Cultural Heritage of the Archdiocese of Zaragoza from 1987 to 2003, where he modernized artistic catalogs through digitalization. He also directed the journal Aragonia Sacra and served as a professor.

His work was characterized by a commitment to making historical knowledge accessible to the public and defending the collective memory of the Aragon region. His death has been met with mourning across the Aragonese social and political landscape.
