Dominic Fritz secures new mandate as USR leader

Dominic Fritz has obtained a new three-year mandate to lead the USR party. Following the election, the party announced that its National Bureau includes two-thirds newly elected members, with a leadership team featuring seven vice-presidents representing all regions of the country.

Fritz stated that the party's primary objective is to build a center-right governing alternative that excludes the PSD and AUR parties. To this end, USR has expressed openness to collaboration with the National Liberal Party (PNL). The USR and PNL parliamentary groups have already signed a protocol to cooperate on legislative initiatives and joint interpellations.

As the party moves into opposition, USR intends to monitor the current Executive and continue reforms initiated by its former ministers. Radu Miruță, the party's vice-president, defended Fritz's leadership, noting that he is respected by both party colleagues and political peers.
