Dominic Hampton-Boyd arrested after hostage chase on I-93

A 31-year-old man, identified as Dominic Hampton-Boyd of Roxbury, was taken into custody following a dramatic police chase on I-93 in Milton. State Police reported that the suspect held a pregnant woman hostage at gunpoint inside a moving SUV.

The pursuit began near exit 9 in Quincy after the vehicle failed to stop for authorities. During the chase, the suspect crashed into eight different vehicles before attempting to flee on foot near exit 11.

State Police seized a firearm from the vehicle and provided medical care to the victim. The extent of the woman's injuries has not been released. Hampton-Boyd is scheduled to be arraigned in Quincy District Court on multiple charges.
