Dominican Airport Authority and Navy hold large multidisciplinary medical outreach in Monte Plata

The Dominican Republic's Department of Airports (DA) and the Navy, together with other public and private institutions, organized a multidisciplinary medical operation in Monte Plata as part of the “Airports with the Community” program. Led by DA director Víctor Pichardo and Vice Admiral Juan Crisóstomo Martínez, the initiative brought more than fifteen specialties—including cardiology, neurology, psychology, pediatrics, urology, dentistry, ophthalmology and orthopedics—and about one hundred doctors to serve an estimated two‑to‑three thousand residents.

Beneficiaries also received food rations, wheelchairs, free medication, hearing aids, baby cribs, barber services, toys for children and professional guidance. The effort was praised by participants, with one attendee noting, “Este operativo cayó muy bien y está muy organizado.” President Luis Abinader’s administration has voiced support for such community‑focused actions, highlighting their role in addressing historic health needs in the province.
