Dominican Army conducts command changes in infantry brigades

The Dominican Army (ERD) has conducted command changes for two of its infantry brigades as part of routine internal institutional movements.

In Mao, Brigadier General José Manuel Durán Infante presided over the change of command for the 4th Infantry Brigade. Colonel Marcos Bonilla Gómez was appointed as the new commander, succeeding Durán Infante, who has been reassigned as the Deputy General Commander of the Dominican Army. The 4th Brigade is responsible for security and surveillance operations in the Northwest region.

In Santiago de los Caballeros, a similar ceremony took place for the 2nd Infantry Brigade. Colonel Joran Báez Fernández was positioned as the new commander, replacing Colonel Gerardo Alberto Cruz Salazar. The 2nd Brigade holds jurisdiction over the Cibao region.
