Dominican Army Renovates Pirámide 204 Border Post in Sierra de Neiba

Major General Jorge Iván Camino Pérez, commander of the Dominican Army, handed over the fully renovated Pirámide 204 military post located in the Sierra de Neiba National Park. The refurbishment included complete upgrades to living quarters, kitchen, dining area, sanitation facilities, floors, doors, windows, as well as new paint, lighting, electrical and hydraulic systems.

The modernization is intended to provide more dignified and functional conditions for the soldiers stationed at the border outpost and to strengthen the Army’s surveillance and security capabilities along the frontier, reinforcing national sovereignty. Provincial governor Migdaly de los Santos and senior army officers attended the ceremony.
