El Chaval de la Bachata named King of the New Jersey Parade

Dominican bachata artist El Chaval de la Bachata has been named King of the New Jersey Parade. The distinction was granted by Paterson Vice Mayor Elsa Mantilla in recognition of his artistic career and his contributions to promoting Dominican music and culture internationally.

The appointment serves as a significant honor within the Dominican community in New Jersey. As part of the official festivities, El Chaval is scheduled to participate in the Parade Gala on September 10, 2026, an event expected to host community leaders, authorities, and business figures from the diaspora.

The recognition coincides with the artist's current U.S. tour and the promotion of his new musical project, ‘Sabor a Verona’. The artist also recently celebrated surpassing one million subscribers on his official YouTube channel.
