Dominican athletes honored as Reinas del Caribe begin NORCECA tournament
Dominican softball player Euclides Solano has been selected for the Class of 2026 of the Hall of Fame. He will be honored on November 15 at the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center. Solano is recognized for his significant contributions to the sport, including his performance during the 1986 Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo, where he led the national team to a gold medal.
In volleyball, the Dominican Republic women’s national team, known as Reinas del Caribe, begins its campaign in the NORCECA Continental Championship. Competing at the Ricardo Gioriber Arias Volleyball Palace, the team aims to defend its continental title and secure a path toward the 2028 Olympic Games. The tournament features teams including Cuba, the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Trinidad and Tobago.
