Dominican Republic's Superintendencia de Bancos leads international peer learning on behavioral economics

The Dominican Republic's Superintendencia de Bancos (SB) and the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) hosted a three‑day Peer Learning Exchange (PLE) on behavioral economics in Santo Domingo. Representatives from the Central Bank of Armenia, Kazakhstan's Financial Market Regulation Agency, and Honduras' National Banking and Insurance Commission, among others, convened to share evidence‑based tools for improving financial consumer protection and regulatory supervision.

International experts, including Professor Pawel Dziewulski of the University of Sussex, presented practical applications of behavioral insights. SB officials highlighted the event as a commitment to innovative public‑policy design, international cooperation, and the development of more inclusive, transparent financial systems.
