Dominican comedy “Entiérrenlo Parao” premieres in New York

The Dominican comedy “Entiérrenlo Parao,” directed by Ronni Castillo, held its international premiere at the 15th edition of the Dominican Film Festival in New York (DFFNYC). The event featured a full house and included appearances by actresses Yorlla Castillo and Hony Estrella.

The film follows the story of Don Adrián, a powerful drug kingpin whose final wish is to be buried standing up. This unusual request triggers chaos, family conflicts, and unexpected secrets within his family and the local community during a three-day wake. The production utilizes black humor and situational comedy to explore family dynamics and community tensions.

Yorlla Castillo served as both a lead actress and producer. The cast also includes Hony Estrella, Aquiles Correa, Amauris Pérez, Pachy Méndez, Madison Díaz, and Paula Disla. The screenplay was written by Natalia Peralta and Miguel Yarull.
