Dominican community in New York backs Congressman Adriano Espaillat’s legislative leadership

Dominican residents of Upper Manhattan issued a public statement calling the performance of Congressman Adriano Espaillat, who represents New York’s 13th District, "highly positive." The community highlighted his seniority and roles as chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and a key member of the House Appropriations Committee, noting that his influence helps secure federal resources for housing, education, health, immigration reform and regional economic development.

Supporters also recalled Espaillat’s historic milestones as the first Dominican elected to a state assembly, state senate and the U.S. Congress, arguing that his experience and relationships are vital for the Dominican and broader Hispanic communities in New York.
