Dominican Consulate in Milan achieves 4.9-star Google rating

The Dominican Republic's Consulate General in Milan has achieved a 4.9 out of 5-star rating on Google, based on one thousand organic user reviews. This rating follows a modernization strategy led by Consul General Miguel Vásquez Peña, who previously managed the Dominican consulate in Madrid.

The institutional transformation includes physical space improvements, technological updates, and staff training. Key service enhancements include the implementation of the 'Consulado Web' platform, mobile consulates, and telematic services to better serve the Dominican diaspora in northern Italy.

Operational improvements have led to reduced processing times. VIP passports, route letters, and translations can be delivered on the same day, while regular passports are available in approximately four days. Notarial powers, certificates, and criminal record certificates are issued immediately, and visas are processed within 10 to 12 days. The consulate also noted achieving a score of 100 points in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) evaluations.
