Dominican cooperatives announce first joint vehicle financing fair

A group of Dominican savings and credit cooperatives has announced the Autoferia Cooperativa 2026, the first joint vehicle financing fair organized by the country’s cooperative movement. The event is scheduled to take place from September 21 to 26 at participating institution offices and designated exhibition points alongside partner dealerships.

Participating cooperatives include Cooperativa San José, Coopbueno, CoopUnion, Coopgapa, Cooprospera, and Coopprogreso. Together, these institutions represent more than half a million members with a network covering the Cibao region, the National District, and other parts of the country.

During the fair, members will have access to specialized credit conditions, including fixed interest rates for the duration of the loan, higher financing percentages than standard market rates, no penalties for early balance payments or capital contributions, and various insurance alternatives. The offer covers both new and used vehicles. To ensure efficiency, cooperatives will pre-approve members within their existing portfolios to provide agile responses during the event.
