Dominican Court of Accounts holds transparency outreach at Santo Domingo Metro station

The Cámara de Cuentas de la República Dominicana, led by President Emma Polanco Melo, organized a citizen‑engagement event on Wednesday at the Juan Pablo Duarte station of the Santo Domingo Metro. Part of the “La Cámara te Escucha” initiative, the activity distributed brochures and printed material explaining the court’s constitutional role and audit functions, and promoted the Ojo Ciudadano platform for public monitoring of public resources.

Metro users shared their impressions, with participants such as Carlos Paulino praising the court’s audit publications, Gabriel Cedeño noting the administration’s progress, and Isabel López emphasizing the importance of audits for public control. The outreach aimed to build dialogue, trust, and citizen participation in overseeing the proper administration of public funds.
