Dominican Customs faces scrutiny over dispute with GB Investment Group

Journalist Joselito Féliz has publicly called on Nelson Arroyo, the Director General of Dominican Customs, to explain the institution's recent actions regarding a conflict with GB Investment Group. The company operates in Oviedo, Pedernales province, and is credited with generating 85 direct and approximately 250 indirect jobs in the community.

Féliz questioned why the company's operations, which reportedly functioned for years without issue under previous administrations, are now facing different customs treatments and new tariff demands on certain goods. The journalist raised concerns regarding potential changes in legal or technical regulations and suggested there may be unequal treatment between companies involved in the import and handling of clothing.
