Dominican diaspora honors Dr. Puro Fajardo and Roberto Neris in Bronx parade
In Queens, New York, the civic organization Segunda Trinitaria presented Dr. Puro Fajardo, president of the Fundación Ser Latino, with its official PIN for his long‑standing work promoting Dominican culture, identity and values among the overseas community. The award was given by founder Jhanel Ferreras during a keynote conference on the historic secret society La Trinitaria.
Separately, broadcaster and entrepreneur Roberto Neris was named patron of honor for the 37th Gran Parada Dominicana of the Bronx, a major cultural celebration of the Dominican diaspora in the United States. The 2026 parade, dedicated to the province of San Cristóbal, is scheduled for Sunday 26 July 2026 on Grand Concourse and is expected to draw thousands of participants and spectators, highlighting music, folklore and national heritage.
