Dominican Fuerza del Pueblo honors Bronx veteran leader Ramón Santana

The Dominican party Fuerza del Pueblo (FP) held its second Summer Social Meeting in the Bronx, New York. The gathering, organized by party leader Juan Almánzar at his residence, brought together dozens of FP officials, militants and supporters, showcasing the organization’s growing presence among the Dominican diaspora.

During the event, Ramón Santana – Secretary of Electoral Affairs for the State of New York and a party activist for more than five decades – received a special plaque recognizing more than 22 years of uninterrupted leadership in the Bronx. The award was presented by Oscar Merejo, president of the Bronx‑1 district, and was met with applause from attendees. FP officials from across the United States, including Gregorio Morrobel, Carlos Feliz and others, were present, underscoring the party’s commitment to unity, political training and community development abroad.
