Dominican fugitive arrested for 2015 Massachusetts murder

The U.S. Marshals Service has arrested Yssael Lantigua Alecon, a 45-year-old Dominican national wanted for a 2015 murder in Massachusetts. Lantigua Alecon had been a fugitive for 11 years following a shooting at Bali’s bar and restaurant in Lawrence, which resulted in the death of 21-year-old Joselo Campusano.

Authorities noted that Lantigua Alecon used at least six different aliases and had obtained fraudulent identities during his time as a fugitive. He was apprehended on August 17 in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and is currently awaiting extradition to Massachusetts to face charges of murder and illegal possession of a firearm.
