RD Exquisita 2027 expands Dominican culinary circuit to Salamanca

The third edition of RD Exquisita 2027 is set to take place from January 16 to 19, aiming to expand the international projection of Dominican gastronomy. For the first time, the festival will expand its circuit beyond Madrid to include the city of Salamanca, Spain.

Co-organized by Foro DoMadrid and sponsored by the Banco Agrícola de la República Dominicana, the initiative operates under the theme ‘Sabor que impulsa turismo, cultura y comercio’. The expansion into Salamanca is a strategic move to leverage the Castilla y León region's significant agri-food distribution networks, providing a gateway for Dominican products into the broader European market.

The event focuses on creating commercial channels for national producers of goods such as cocoa, coffee, and tropical fruits. Professional sessions will be held in wholesale food markets in both Madrid and Salamanca to connect Dominican representatives with Spanish importers and distributors.
