Dominican Liberation Party honors political leader Cheché Luna

The Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) held a commemorative event titled ‘Recordando a Cheché’ to honor the legacy of political leader Rafael Antonio Luna, widely known as Cheché Luna, on the anniversary of his death.

During the ceremony, party members and family highlighted Luna’s historical role, noting his membership in the party’s first Political Committee and his involvement in the April 1965 War. Speakers emphasized his strict adherence to party discipline, his defense of internal organizational methods, and his close ties to the party’s founder, Juan Bosch.
