Dominican Minister visits Anadegas during annual assembly

Eduardo Sanz Lovatón, the Minister of Industry, Commerce, and MSMEs, visited the National Association of Gasoline Retailers (Anadegas) during its annual assembly in Santo Domingo. The meeting included representatives from the commercial sector and regulatory bodies, such as the Specialized Body for the Control of Fuels and Trade of Goods (Ceccom).

Minister Sanz Lovatón addressed the ongoing crisis between fuel retailers and financial institutions regarding fees associated with using Verifone devices for electronic payments. He stated that a possible solution to this issue will be communicated in the coming days.

Juan Elías Pérez, president of Anadegas, expressed the sector's continued confidence in authorities and their preference for a harmonious resolution through institutional dialogue to ensure the sustainability of fuel stations.
