Yaxel Lendeborg and Luka Doncic engage in heated exchange during NBA debut

During the 2026-2027 NBA season opener, Golden State Warriors rookie Yaxel Lendeborg and Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic engaged in a series of intense verbal confrontations. The exchange included trash-talking and a technical foul for Lendeborg during the second quarter.

Following the Lakers' 127-105 victory, Lendeborg stated he had lost respect for Doncic, citing the superstar's frequent complaints to officials and tendency to seek fouls. Doncic responded by noting that Lendeborg was “talking crazy” and highlighted the rookie's comments during the game.
