Dominican PRM appoints municipal leaders, launches Carolina Mejía project teams

Party officials of the Dominican Republic's Partido Revolucionario Moderno (PRM) travelled to the province of Elías Piña to form work teams for the presidential Project C28 supporting candidate Carolina Mejía. The visit was led by Rafael Arias, former director of the national transport institute, and provincial coordinator Johnny Valenzuela, who said the effort aims to strengthen the party’s territorial structure and integrate new actors at the municipal level.

The PRM's National Internal Elections Commission (CNEI) also reported harmonious participation in internal elections held on 17‑19 July, approving new municipal, district and national‑district directors for the 2026‑2028 term. New leadership was confirmed in 152 municipalities, 224 municipal districts and the three districts of the Distrito Nacional, covering about 95 % of the bodies convened. A press conference was announced to present the official results.
