United States wins eighth Pan American Volleyball Cup title

The United States women's volleyball team claimed its eighth Pan American Cup title after defeating the Dominican Republic 3-0 in the final held in León, Mexico. The match scores were 28-26, 25-19, and 25-18.

Despite entering the tournament as defending champions, the Dominican Republic finished with the silver medal. The first set was highly competitive, with the Dominican Republic fighting back to tie the score at 25-25 before the United States secured the set. Following that narrow opening, the United States took control of the match.

Key performers for the United States included Callie Schwarzenbach, who led the offense with 15 points, and Jessica Mruzik with 12 points. The Dominican Republic's efforts were led by Flormarie Heredia Colón, Katielle Alonzo, and Massiel Matos. The victory marks the first time the United States has returned to the top of the podium in this competition since 2019.
