Dominican Republic ambassador visits Tucumán to discuss cooperation

The Dominican Republic's ambassador to Argentina, Jorge Marte Báez, conducted a visit to the province of Tucumán, Argentina, to explore bilateral cooperation and institutional ties.

During meetings with health officials, including Minister of Public Health Luis Medina Ruiz, the ambassador praised the Tucumán healthcare model, describing it as “the best I have seen in the entire world.” Discussions focused on provincial advancements in prevention, emergency care, maternal-fetal health, and the integration of technology. The ambassador expressed interest in establishing a cooperation channel to exchange medical knowledge and experiences.

Additionally, meetings with Minister of Government and Justice Regino Amado addressed broader developmental opportunities. Officials identified potential cooperation in productive sectors where both regions share commonalities, specifically in the production of sugar cane and lemons. The visit aims to strengthen institutional links and foster economic and social development between the two communities.
