Argentina suspends over 21,800 disability pensions

The Argentine national government has issued Resolution 3695/2026, suspending more than 21,800 Non-Contributory Pensions (PNC) for labor disability across the country. This measure revokes a previous resolution that had restored payments following a federal court injunction from Catamarca.

The suspension affects beneficiaries who have reportedly not presented updated medical documentation or necessary records to prove their eligibility. Affected individuals have a 60-day window from their notification to request the rehabilitation of their benefits by submitting required documentation.

In response to the uncertainty, regional authorities, including the government of Formosa and the Ombudsman of Córdoba, have announced advisory services to help citizens verify their status and navigate the administrative steps required to reclaim their pensions. The National Disability Secretariat, under the Ministry of Health, maintains that the files remain under audit.
